Cookies and local storage

Website files, processing data and advertising storage are different. This page explains the current setup.

Current preview

The first-party application does not set a cookie or use localStorage or sessionStorage to save document sessions. No live ad or analytics code has been enabled. This statement does not rule out storage by downloaded dependencies or future hosting security features.

Website and OCR caches

Your browser can cache scripts, styles, fonts and other website resources. The OCR library can use IndexedDB to cache downloaded language data so it does not need to fetch the same data on every use. This cache is not a copy of your PDF.

Some cached resources can remain after a tab closes. Browser settings allow you to inspect and clear site data. Clearing caches can make a later OCR session download components again.

Working files and downloads

Selected files and working results are handled in browser memory by the tool. Downloaded output is a separate file controlled by your browser and device. Deleting cookies does not delete those downloads.

If advertising is enabled

Before live ads are introduced, this page will list the relevant provider storage, purposes, lifetimes and controls based on the actual configuration. Required consent and opt-out settings must be available before the corresponding processing begins.

A preference button alone is not proof that ads respect the choice. The implementation must be tested for accepting, rejecting and withdrawing consent, as well as relevant regional opt-outs.

Managing storage

You can clear cookies and site data in your browser settings. Blocking storage or downloaded components may affect some tools. A future consent setting will manage optional technologies offered by this site; it will not control unrelated websites or files already downloaded.
