Will my JPG stay a JPG?
Yes. This page only accepts JPG and JPEG files and saves JPG output. JPG and JPEG are names for the same format.
Which quality setting should I choose?
Start with Balanced (80%). Smaller (60%) can reduce size further but may soften fine detail. High (95%) can be larger than an already compressed original, so we compare sizes and keep your original when necessary.
Does JPG compression change the dimensions?
No. Width and height stay the same. Use Resize images first when you also want fewer pixels.
Can I compress JPG to 100 KB?
There is no guaranteed target size. The result depends on dimensions, image detail and existing compression. Lower quality or resize the photo, then check the output size.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Compression runs in your browser. Encoder files may be downloaded from this website, but your selected images are not uploaded.
