This comparison reads extractable text rather than comparing page pixels. It is useful for reviewing changed paragraphs, updated labels or revised numbers. It does not detect every visual difference, such as a changed photo, color or page layout. Use side-by-side visual review when those changes matter.
Check which file is labeled Original and which is Revised; use Swap if they are reversed. Scans may have no text unless OCR has been applied. Different OCR results can create apparent wording changes that are recognition errors. The report supports review but should not be treated as a complete audit of all document changes.
This compares extracted text, not visual layout, image changes or a legal redline. Scans require a usable text layer.
